Congrats Schu and the Cottis clan! Dandy find Mike and Old Scout. Schu's find should be a pretty decent one next year as well.

Put some miles on the boots and the quad today. Nothing found while on foot, but on the home stretch back to the truck I told my dad we should cruise this one final woodline. I was over a hill where he's afraid to ride (Lol) and I hear him yell "get over here!" Old
scout cut me off and cashed in. Lol

Made for a good day after we thought we was gonna get skunked.

Congrats on the find. Wish I would have had my quad. My feet are sore today.

That place looks shedtastic Chad. Sucks finding dead heads though. Hoping to get out tomorrow.

Phil, it looks like there isn't much snow down your way...over here there is still a ton of snow on the ground and especially in the woods...plus we have more snow coming tues-wednesday...

North edges of woods has a foot along field edges. Most fields are bare. Probably a good 6" in the woods on the floor. Makes it tough in the thick stuff when there is snow. Much better than it was a week ago.

Nice finds Joejoe. Congrats on a successful trip!

Hit a shed rich environment tonight. Had high hopes. Found more deer poop than I have possibly ever seen consolidated on one property before along with a highway of tracks and trails. Not a shed to be found. Makes me wonder if someone else hasn't already been there. Major disappointment.

Hicks,

That same thing happens to me quite often. Actually, I normally do not find antlers in areas that are completely tore up like that. What I have found is that those areas are typically doe groups and the bucks will frequent an area off to the side. So its probably either that or like you said someone has already been there, which I am running into that as well. About the only way around that is to hit it early and often, which most of us dont have the time to do. Shed hunting is growing right now just like bow hunting did 5 or 6 years ago.
