I've done those jobs when I was in the roofers union. That tar gets hot!

I was in the local 86 in Columbus for a few years. We did the Franklin County Jail roof with torch-down. We caught the jail on fire and set off the fire alarms probably a couple dozen times over the 8-9 months we were there, lol. Luckily the decking was concrete so it was just insulation smoldering and smoke going through the cracks of the concrete. Every time it happened though 6 or so armed deputies would come up onto the roof to see what was going on and the sirens were loud. The first time it happened they came running up there with hands on their guns like something was going down. After awhile they got used to us catching the place on fire every few days.

Also, roofing sucks. Glad I found a new way to make a living.

I did see the Barber of Gville yesterday. He's working on trying to move to a temporary location.
I'm sure one of the salons in town will offer him a chair.

Picked up my new shotgun yesterday. Mossberg 535 full camo. 22" turkey barrel, 24" rifled slug barrel, and 28" vented rib. Can't wait to blast a gobbler in the head with it.
