Strouds - Fall 2014 TOO Outing - October 10-12

Seriously, I'm opting out of the cabin. I just don't want Dan put out, so mark him down for one of the spots too. It's all good with me as I plan to pitch a tent in the group area this year. The cabins are fine, but I don't want to crawl that far again if I spend too much time around the fire.

And BTW, there were two hanging from that front tree last year and one more out back.

Forgot about the other one getting strung up. I just remember trying to toss that rope around that branch for an hour lmao.

Now that I think of it, seems J always made the call to Shelly for one of the cabins and I did the other. Perhaps the cabin under Jesse's name is J's and we have not yet reserved the other....? I'll call her tomorrow and see. Still, if there is one still open, I'll be sure to reserve it for whomever wants it.

With J being tied up I made the call for him this year to Shelly. Mike called me back because I got the answering machine and left a message. Mike told me Jesse reserved one of the cabins when he got the group camping area but Jesse said he never asked for it but I figure Mike or Shelly knew we always had at least one of the cabins each year we have been down there so maybe they just went ahead and put it in when Jesse called knowing we would fill it.

As it stands right now TOO has the cabins. I am sleeping in one spot in one of the cabins as well as J and Dan in whatever cabin they want. Whoever else sleeps in there just has to pitch in their $20 on Sunday when we pack up lol.

Let me rephrase that. The cabins have been booked for TOO so nobody else can call and rent one. NOTHING on the cabin I asked about has been paid as of yet just held by name since we usually don't pay until we all leave on Sunday

Don can have one of the 2 spots in my cabin. I figure you and mason and dan would be in the other cabin again. I know dan has his machine he uses for sleeping and needs the outlet.

Sounds good Red. I'm in with you then. I will only be sleeping over Friday night so if someone wants my spot for Saturday night I will be leaving Saturday after supper.

I did tell Shelly we'd be back next year and too hold it for us, and she said she would so maybe that's what transpired.... She said we would have first dibs since we're regulars now lol... I know I didn't call so if she mistakingly made it when Jesse called for the camping spots so much the better.... But Brock if you could touch base with her or Mike that would be better and have everybody on the same page.... Beener Adam and Ric are the ones the last few years but if don wants a spot and Ric sleeps in his truck like he said he's more then welcome.... That'll leave Brock and Dan in their regular spots......

And you're right, that was quite a feat to witness! My elbow is in far better working order this year, and I have no intention of messing with that many dead bodies again! Well, maybe as many, but likely just squirrels. They're a lot easier to stretch up in a tree!

I'm out for two reasons.
1. Eric Church concert in Pittsburgh that Saturday night. The wife and boys are going with me.

2. The boys would have football that Saturday morning and there's no way I could go without them. They'd be pissed!

Trust me, we all wanna be there but it's just bad timing for us. We bought the tickets back in April.

I know we will miss an awesome time. I am scheduling vacation around the bow shoot next year though!

Austin and I will be there. I slept in one of the bunks last year as Austin had his friend Mike with us. If there is still a bunk open I will stake claim, but will gladly give it up to anyone that might not be able to sleep on the ground due to back issues or what not.
