I plan to bring two brisket and two pork shoulders. That'll run me right around $160ish.

Anyone that wants to see how I do it that'll work for me. Each cook will take 12-16 hours depending on the method/temp I use. Figure I will prep one Fri night and put it on around midnight. Do they same for the other meat on Saturday night. So if you wanna be around for prep/trim/seasoning I will be doing ti at night, each night.

That seems like a lot of cash but that is also 50 ish pounds of meat.

Do we have a head count estimate yet? I may wanna scale back if only 20 people plan on making it.

I'd prolly scale it back to one of each just because others are bringing grub and we need to be able to save some room for drinkin! Rotflmao

Ok. Got a couple questions hoping some of you Strouds veterans can help out with.

Talked to the wife and she is thinking she may want to come down and hang out. So I am probably going to bring my Camper down.
I see that there are 10 camper sites I am assuming these have electric hookups???
Do they allow pets in the camping areas. We have a dog that goes everywhere with us. Will need to find a place for him to stay if the park doesn't allow pets but that is doable.

We probably will not be down until early Saturday morning due to the High School Football has their homecoming game Friday night. We always work the grill area for the concession stand so Friday night is out.

I will bring a big pot of Deer Chili.
If there is anything else anyone can think of let me know.

I don't think the camping sites have electric. Greg had his dog down last year. We're in our own area so it shouldn't be a problem....unless it's a yapper, then we'll fry it !

He doesn't barke unless we run out of beer. That just pisses him off.
Guess I will just make sure the battery is good and charged and will run off 12v for the night.

Not sure if there are electric sites on the other side of the road by the cabins or not. You would have to ask Mr. Nickle about that one. I know there have been a couple dogs at camp over the last couple years. Jake had his beagle one day and I think Jesse had Remi down there once but don't quote me on Remi being there. I know he was at Woodbury one summer. I don't see bringing a dog being an issue as long as you keep him from playing with the yotes.

No electric sites at Strouds. All primitive except the two tiny single room cabins, they have solar panels that work small lights on the inside. My Dad and I will be coming down and camping, we will make sure to swing by and say hello and offer any help or direction if needed. We will be camping in a single campsite, normally site 38.

No big deal on the electric. Will make sure the battery is well charged and we will be good for the weekend.
Look forward to getting down there and meeting everyone.

I will bring extra #honorconnor bracelets for anybody that wants one.
I will also bring a couple 10x10 canopies just in case.
I will have an extra tent TOO that I keep in the camper just in case.

It's cool guys. It's not like we haven't had this on the books for, oh I don't know, a year. Lol
