Settled in. Decided to do something a little different tonight. Brought Connors crossbow instead of my compound. Figured it would be cool to break it out. He started hunting with it and used it until last year when he changed to compound. I am pretty sure he is up there laughing at me right now.

Got busted by a doe, her and her fawn came strolling through, fawn walked about 5 yards away from my stand, the doe followed and some how busted me. I think it was the same doe that did it 2 weekends ago. Besides that nothing

Oh man... Life just isn't fun if you can't laugh at yourself.

Well... It was bout 6:45 and I was in a thick bottom and it was getting dark to the point where I couldn't see the twigs coming off the trees. I decided to let the bow down and climb down. Well I step off and remember I had my sticks on the tree all goofy so I'm struggling to find my second stick with my foot and I'm silently cursing to myself and getting all worked up when all of the sudden... Foot steps.... I look up and here comes a shooter, he walks past me at 5yds and keeps on heading down the creek bottom... As I hang 18ft up off a tree lol I couldn't say if I would have shot if I was in the stand because of the lack of light. It had to be almost 6:50 by that time.

Saw 2 bucks, a small 8 and a 6, and 9 does. The 6 walked right under me. No does were being chased from what I could see. I'll be back there in the morning.

Sat out all day in two locations and zero deer. I did shoot a turkey but the bastard flew a way with the flock.

Basically skunked. Just one doe that bolted past me. Plus, I'm dumb and left the windows to the blind partially open the other night. Was sitting in 3" of water. Aweful cold. Lol. Surprising that I didn't see more. Can someone tell the deer it's time to run around freely? Lol. I'll be back out. All day long tomorrow!

I wish I would have been out this morning. I wish I would have been out this evening. I'm extremely thankful that, Lord-willing, we will be out in the morning! I have high hopes for tomorrow. Should be a beautiful day in the woods, and after a crappy day like today, I gotta think the deer will be willing to cooperate! Good luck to you all.
