SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — The number of deer killed during West Virginia's various seasons dropped by 32 percent in 2010.

The Division of Natural Resources said Friday that hunters killed 105,743 deer during the bucks-only, antlerless, muzzleloader, archery and youth/Class Q seasons. In 2009, hunters killed 155,214 deer.

Last month, the DNR cited several factors for a decline in the number of bucks killed, including a shortage of food and a tough winter.

Ohio's kill is down because of too much food(acorns) while across the river it's down because of not enough food.
