Anyone still hunting deer in Delaware county I know where they all are. There was a herd of 25-30 deer in a small field today at 4:00 PM on the East side of 71 near mile marker 127.

I know exactly where that is at. There is actually a food plot right around the corner just north of the rest area.

They're stacked in there every winter. Seen a good buck a few weeks back at 3:00 in the afternoon just in there fillin' his belly.

Gee, maybe they were buffs, I'm not sure now.lol

I saw those too a few miles down the road, they seemed to be happy it finely cooled off.:smiley_bril:

Food plot makes sense. I couldn't tell what was planted in the field, all the other deer I saw were in the middle of big corn fields, well away from the edge. This was a very small field, well under 5 acres, and many were close to the tree lines. I wonder what was planted there because the deer really must like it?

I'm not sure, but it's the only thing green for miles around.... There's also a ladder stand on the NW corner of the plot.

We would have to take a light touch. EVERYONE sees these deer and the land owners get hammered with people asking. The ponds would be great for some geese/duck.

Oh man I'm sure they get hounded constantly. They should build a 8' tall fence with some kind of screen that blocks the hwy. :smiley_crocodile:

Any yes, those ponds usually hold good #s of geese anytime they're not frozen over. It would be a nice early spot for just about everything that flies.
