Bacon wrapped salmon smoked in apple that'll be dipped in maple syrup before digesting. I had more than I needed, so I'm doing a whole fillet as well. Chuck ( Big Holla ) had posted this recipe in FB. I haven't used my propaner forever, so I decided to give it a try.
Damn I have to get my own smoker. The nephew next door has a new electric smoker but I won't borrow it.
Today is a great day to be outside, so this only makes sense .... dutch oven chuck. I smoked up the roast a few hrs & then into the oven with all the fixin's.

Depending on what you want it for I love the ugly drum smoker Beener talked me into building.
Easy to build, pretty cheap and makes awesome bbq.
I'm getting a head start on our Easter feast. Today I'm smoking up some hard boiled eggs.

Kevin, haven't you done those before or am I thinking of someone else? I remember the smoked eggs and wanted to try them.
No, this is my first time. I found out about them on my cast iron FB page just recently. I'm going to make them into deviled eggs topped with bacon bits.
My eggs didn't come out with the hickory flavor I had hoped for. They were really good just the same. All this smoker business today has me wore out, yet quite happy...
