Getting my parts and pieces together on my 10/22 build. Trigger group, charging handle and new mag release came back from Brimstone today. Assembly is getting closer and closer.
Just about done with my AR build. Went out Saturday and sighted in my iron sights first, then my red dot. I have just a few things left to add and she will be done. Very happy with the build so far, lots of compliments at the range as well.

I finally caught up with my FFL dealer friend to pick up my new Springfield XD Mod pistol in 40 S&W. It is new and came with 2 magazines 9&11 rounds, a mickey mouse holster, double mag holder, and a mag loader that doesn't work worth a crap.
But the pistol is first class and is a keeper. I got it as a up graded CCW carry pistol. I never felt at easy with my Glock compact in 40 S&W. But the XD has a grip safety plus the trigger safety. The grip feels great. The front sight has a glow rod in it and the rear sight is a 2 dot sight. The sights are great outside.
I fired a magazine of my lead bullets through and the function was 100%. Since it was a new pistol the company wanted to try the re-manufactured ammo through it. We shot about 100 rounds and the function was 100%. The sights was dead on at 25 yds. If you did your thing it hit the 5" center every time.
This is going to be a fun gun and will get a lot of shooting. Mostly lead bullets I cast myself.

The holster didn't turn out so bad after all as I have it on now on the left side in a cross draw position heading to Lima gunshow. I'll see how it feels after 2.5 hrs. in the truck. The holster is made by Fobus for SA.
