I try, I mean I really try to behave but then Satan tempts me and I'm weak.
Browning 1885 45-70

I don't know how you keep having these things follow you home Sam!
I need to just follow you around from a few feet back...
That is beautiful.

You think if quit I trolling gunshops, auctions, gunshows, and online gun auctions there's a chance this wouldn't keep happening? :smiley_confused_vra

Let him have fun with the 357. Won't be long until he will want another. . . .in 44mag. Dirty Harry style. Why? Because the 357 looked lonely. Needed a big brother.

Tom, when I was a kid a good friend had an Belgian A-5. Seemed like when I borrowed it I couldn't miss. Have wanted one ever since just never found the right one when I had he cash. Yours is very nice, it would really tempt me if I found one like it.

This is the second really nice firearm I have bought off someone that didn't appreciate their Grandfathers firearm. I took it out on the trap range on base and it is the most intuitive shooting shotgun I have shot. One cant help the notice that it is a mechanical work of art either. Precise hand fitted parts, attractive engraving on the receiver, lock screws over action screws, and nice deep checkering.

Beautiful rifle sam.

We also had a browning follow us home. A 1964 fn-browning light twelve. Jessie and I were looking for looking for a light 20 however the condition and price on the 12 was too good to let it go.

That brings back a good memory. In 1965 a guy I worked with offered me the same shotgun for 35.00 but I didn't have 35.00 with me so was to pay him the next day but he changed his mind. And to think 35.00 was over 50% of a weeks take home pay. Times surely have changed.

YEa! Check that one off the list!
What do we think Dan needs now boys?

Beenie hit it on the nose. He's holding a lower for me, plus he's gonna coach me.

Me too call and start the AR. Lol

He also needs a 1911. Seems like a 1911 man. Danmanns 1911 has a ring to it. Her name should be Thelma.

And yeah, I kinda NEED a 1911. And the ammo. And the bullet mold. And the reloading die.
I really need that.

And know what else I NEED but don't have? A semi-auto shotgun.

AFTERTHOUGHTS: Yeah, the 1911 is a must, just to have in a SHTF scenario. Plus, a guy should just have something that shoots .45acp.

I been thinkin' I like cocking that hammer and pulling the trigger on that revolver - maybe I needs to get me a single action big bore cowboy lookin' pistol.

I'm just gonna come out and say it - I suck at pistol shooting. But I'm doing ok with the .38special ammo, but kinda suck with the .357 - the .38special is pretty easy to handle.

Shit's addictive.

For the price it is hard to beat my Beretta Outlander. It's only downfall is that it doesn't take 3.5's.

Attended a whitetail banquet a few weeks ago. Got a free ticket, free draft beer, and a free dinner. Played one $10 pull for a gun and won this.

Smith and Wesson 22A

I will get a lot of fun out of this gun for $10!

So yesterday I'm with my daughter taking in a local gun show. She has been watching for something special and I was merely there in an advisement capacity...
I was doing fine until I happened apon a Ruger guy.

I always liked the Bisley's but really never saw one that I was willing to pull the trigger on until I saw the sticker that said "45 Colt / 45 ACP "...
"Well Damn. I have 45 ACP and a 45 Long Colt. " I justified it because I already shoot both types of 45... Merry Christmas to me

Rugers Single action Bisley from the Blackhawk line. 5.5 " barrel with a fluted cylinder for the 45 ACP and a full cylinder for the 45 Colt (AKA 45 Long)
Here are a few happy snaps

Well SHIT!
<sigh><grumbling about just one more damned gun to think about and lust for and agonize about>
