Well I was excited to go out and check the trail cams. When I got out there the 1st one I get to is gone... and then I notice there is a power line company, has people out cutting trees and looks like adding or re-doing a cable line. I can only assume it was one of the guys off of that crew because my camera was only 10yds back from the little path under the power lines. I have not had trouble with trespassers before. Just pissed to loose a camera and all the pics on it. Put out about 100lbs of apples 2 weeks ago and there's not 1 left. They are still working out there. cables draping down. Really temped to go out and confront someone. But I don't know how far that will get me. Anyone else have similar trouble with cable or tree company's?

Well you can now add our names to the list of stolen trail cameras. Damn it pisses me off. Was my dad's trail cam he got a couple years back for a birthday and he asked me to put it up for him the last time I was down. Went out to check it and replace batteries and sure enough it was gone. Was just off the main two track and I'm sure it was one of the piece of shit renters down the road from him. Spent some extra time this past weekend adding no trespassing signs on property we had hoped we would never have to post. Definitely different times we live in now for sure....

Dang!!!! So sorry to hear of all the stolen cams and stands!!! I'm about due myself! I think some people know they're out there and prolly looking for them when they're seng poaching right now!

The camera didn't have a password protection on it and I really think it didn't get many pics on it after I put it up. While setting it up and going through the menu it shut off twice because of low batteries and we didn't have any more as we were on our way back to Mich the day we put it up. It was on though when I left it so who knows what they got. Hope the poison oak I got hanging those No Trespassing signs was worth it.

Been working Hank on Brutus's old Invisible Fence collar. He's been doing pretty good but won't leave the chickens alone. They are in a coop and I thought it was pretty secure. That dog is smarter than I thought. Figured out how to lift the lid where we get the eggs out. Managed to get inside the coop and killed 5/6 of my wife's chickens. My yard looks like a couple feather pillows went through a jet engine and were spit out the other side. My wife is pissed.

If you ever find yourself in this situation, I have some advice for you: Do not ask your wife if she will get a pot of water boiling so we can fix up some chickens for dinner tomorrow.

No you didn't!!!!!

What? That was the plan when they quit laying eggs. Unfortunately, she was not having it. Not sure we want to eat chickens gnawed on by the dog anyway. Dump thread was the only place this really fit. Erin is all upset and I will never hear the end of it. The kids on the other hand. . . .Let's just say when Momma went to bed, my daughter came to me laughing. She said "Only us. Only we could have something like this happen to us. I know I shouldn't be laughing, but dad, you know we all hated those chickens." I assured her she better get her laughter out. As much a pain in the butt as the chickens were to the rest of us, my wife really enjoyed having them.

I'm with your daughter on this one because I'm giggling. Not over the massacre, but because I can see you asking for the pot of boiling water. Not the best timing!

One of my Co-men recently bought a home. It came with some acreage, a barn and 2 full grown lamas. His dog ( part Great Dane, part Irish Wolf hound) has had it in for the lamas since day 1. Every time the dogs gets lose it heads for those lamas. Well a couple weeks ago he not only got after em, he took down one and killed it before they could get him (the dog off)...

No point. Just came to mind after reading your story Phil...

Damn. That's saying something considering the hatred lamas have for dogs. Sheep farmers will put one in with the flock to kill coyotes. It was a wolfhound however. Sure it wasn't an alpaca?
