Got the WV regs today. Nothing beats an October 1st duck opener! With our spot over there, I can hunt ducks 10/1-10/10, 10/24-11/14, 12/18-1/31. Love it!

What's a WV hunting license and waterfowl tag cost from them? Most of our river hunts launch from Ohio but a couple are on the WV side and I've often thought about picking up a license from them if it was cheap.

$119 for license and the tag is $15-20, something like that. Well worth the money for the extended days. Not to mention our best spot is in WV and I know of several great spots on the river that would be fun once we have a boat.

That'll be nice to get out . I wish our season came in earlier . Coming in the 25th really cramps prime bowhunting . Wish it came in a week earlier . Prolly hunt the first two morning of 1st split then be done till I kill a buck , or gun season then I'll duck hunt again .
Early goose ended up bein pretty good . We killed 97 and I killed3 bands. 2 were banded in 2008 on the same day near Wooster and the 3rd was banded in Erie county in 2012 .

Nice early season. I am in Wooster as well and was curious if you hunt mostly private or public land? I don't want specifics just wondering what my best chance is going to be as I'm only able to get out a few times and just started last year.

We do most of our goosing in private fields but we do duck hunt both public and private. There is some great public in the area but it can get pressured .
I can let ya know sometime if we have room and ya can join us . Goosing we hunt 4 or occasionally 5 but ducking its usually3 at most .

Yah if you don't mind. I have some decoys to bring if needed and I don't have a layout blind if that bothers you. I was just going to lay on the ground with camo burlap.

Longdraw had my son and me over to hunt this morning for the youth season. Thanks again buddy! We had a blast.

Caleb shot his first duck, a nice green wing teal. I think today really lit the fire for him. We talked about ducks the entire ride back home. Then we grilled the breasts up for dinner and he about fell over with how delicious teal are! Haha!! He's ready for more, and I'm ready for the adventure.
