Good luck to those who are out. Last hour should be good! I was set to go out, but my little girl has a fever and a nasty cough. Figured I'd better stay with her.

Get it done fellas!

Hey guys, I'm back after a long hiatus (not that I was very active before, but I always wanted to be...). Got a short-notice PCS from SW Ohio to NE Ohio early this year and my head hasn't stopped spinning. I was hoping to have something to show y'all but my wife hurt her knee and I haven't been able to get out much. I'm also confined to public land this year because I moved so late that I didn't have a chance to get permission anywhere up here in Wayne County. Hope to get out one day this week and maybe once over the weekend. It's a great time to be in a tree!

That said, congrats to AF and thanks for your service!

Mike that looks like a hunting partner for sure. I can think of a dozen bad jokes and I'm going to pass on all of them because I'm trying to clean up my act...

Welcome back...

Let the jokes rip. Lol

Well, neighbor decided he wanted to attempt to burn the woods down so he has a fire going for the past 6 days now about 30 feet wide, no joke, going about 50 yards from my stand. Pulled the card on the camera and sure enough the fire has all the deer away from the spot not, for the past week not a single deer has ventured into the plot. But, it's going to rain here the next 3 days so that should keep him away for awhile haha. I decided to go ask the neighbors 3 houses the other way from him if I could hang a stand on there property and they said they didn't care at all. Was stoked about that so I grabbed a stand and sticks set and hung one on a awesome pinch point of 3 trials. I have to trim lanes this afternoon and make a mock scrape than I am planning on hunting it tonight. It has awesome cover all the way up the tree and even around my stand. I actually had to put a piece of orange contractor tape near the tree to remember where the stand is because you can't even see the straps for the sticks on the tree. I cleared a spot for me to climb up and left all the other cover around it so it will be concealed. Will post up so pics tonight of the spot once I get it all done.
