My guys rolled into town today at noon. Got them settled around 230. At 430, my one hunter missed this deer at 20 yards. Buck fever got the best of him.

The other saw some does and 2 bucks. Lots of chasing and harassing going on he said.

20 yards, ouch. That's a nice lookin buck too. Better luck to them today.

The other has his eyes on the big 9 out in a crp field. And just texted saying there's grunting and chasing going on all around him in the thicket.... sounds like a good morning to be in the woods. 35 degrees here.

Last night I went road scouting. I saw more deer moving at last light than I had seen in any one night this year. Last night must have been an awesome time to be in the woods. Good luck to you if you are hunting this morning.

Last night a young man who I helped a lot when he was learning to shoot a bow shot his biggest deer of his life last night. I used to take him to bow shoots with me all the time. Either way here's his deer.

Settled in at 4:30. By 5:00 two coons got in a vicious fight...I was rooting for them both!
