Don't remind me! By the time we get to hunt, every Robertson wannabe has high balled and sky blasted at any duck that wasn't killed by the guys who know what they're doing. It's HARD work down here if you don't have a boat. I love it, but it's 99% work for the 1% of payout.

Haven't been out yet and haven't really been seeing any birds around here. Youth weekend had my son after a deer. Hopefully the cold gets some birds moving and I can lines some hunts up

I made NZ opener. Saw lowest numbers of ducks for this time while scouting so hit a field geese were working pretty good. 4-man limit by 845 or so...not a bad start but looking forward to these colder temps.

I had to work this past Saturday but my buddies got into a good field hunt. 4 guys... 14 mallards and 8 geese. They made sure to rub it in my face too! Lol

Sounds like your bros had a heck of a hunt. To bad you missed out. I am sure they thoroughly enjoyed rubbing that in your face. Lol.

If we don't get some cold weather soon, it's going to be hard to get excited for duck season. We don't have much for resident ducks down this way, so it won't take long to shoot things up. Not shaping up to be much of an opener.

This has been one of the most lackluster duck seasons I can remember. Nothing exciting whatsoever. The weather just flat out sucks. El Nino can go right to hell...

Went out to check out the lake yesterday and never seen a duck but a lot of geese were around. Plus there are enough swans around that it looks like there could be a season on them lol.

Scouted for about an hour this morning. Saw 2 mallards. Yes, 2. They were walking in somebody's yard. Lol. Did see some local geese but nothing to get excited about.

WV third and final duck season opens in a couple hours. We hunt public ground, so my buddy got there at 4:30 to lock down the best pond in the area. Usually birds on it, so we'll wait them out, then set up after we've busted a few. Tomorrow we'll be at our blind in Ohio. Got one hell of a breakfast planned. Looking forward to it!
