Settled in. The corn on this farm was taken off yesterday. It is finally cooling down some. Hoping the wind will die down a touch.

Decided to hunt the last 2 hours tonight. Had a little 4 point bump a couple of does from their beds about 60 yards from me. Ran them right by me. Hoping something bigger follows in the next few minutes

Skunked.... Lots of squirrels.... Got a buddy with a squirrel dog and I've already talked to him about hitting this farm a couple times.... Needs whittled down for sure.... Saw 5 fox, and 10-15 grey and blacks....

I should have stayed in. I always fall for going out in the evenings when I should know darn well the neighbors will be out mulching leafs or running leaf blowers. The mornings are my time.

Searched the area I believe he came from. Nothing. Gonna check the area he seemed to be going to in the morning.

Brought the arrow back with me tonight (left it there last night so we could reference where we found it) instead of 8 inches of penetration, I got a little over 10, 5 inches of arrow and broadhead stayed in him. I'm confident he's dead, just gotta find him.

Black squirrels? I'd like a few of them taxied, I think they look really neat especially when there's some red mixed in.

Had a great day in the stand. Saw three 2.5 yo, a spike, a few doe and a couple fawns.

Had lone doe come out at 6, was very jumpy constantly watching where she came from... few minutes later a buck appeared at tree line but wouldn't come out into field. Maybe next time...
