Despite a dark to dark sit yesterday in 3 great spots, the only deer I saw were during the commute to/from. We waited out the lightening this morning and am just now settling in. I'm in the blind overlooking the creek funnel, my buddy is sitting where I sat yesterday afternoon in the big creek bottom. Still grinding away...

Its nice living thru you guys. Thanks for sharing.

I'll be getting started Sunday. I haven't been out in 3 weeks.

I feel like I'm missing something.

2.5 yr old 8pt and a 3pt came through about 20 minutes ago. The 8pt acted like he caught the scent on my entrance trail and turned back away from me. Over the last few days I've had a handful of deer stop when they reached my trail. This was the first deer to act concerned. That makes me a bit concerned. I'm going to have alter my route a bit, or drag some doe urine, or evercalm my boots, or all three.

Haven’t seen a thing yet. Rainy here this morning but just stopped so maybe things will start to move around. Love of doves though, probally close to 20 if I had to guess. Also had a group of them annoying black birds fly overhead, sounded like a fuggin F-16 doing a flyby. Good luck everyone.

I'm going to give it a try. Like most things, I'm late to the evercalm party too.
Wind has pounded me this morning passed a solid upper 20s ten point prolly gonna regret that. I got down already because I started coughing like crazy

Yea it does. Someone said put it on your "Taint" but I'd prolly stick to putting it on your boots and climbing sick/ladder. :smiley_coolpeace:

JB, I killed my 2012 standing on my entrance trail that was less than 2 hours old. He walked the last 50' on that trail sniffing it as he went. That buck was 6.5 and it was my first hunt using Evercalm. Stuff is legit! Only thing that smells more like a deer than Evercalm, is a real deer. LOL

That's pretty amazing right there. Guess I better do some shopping.

When I first opened a stick, I was shocked at how much it smelled just like a deer. I stopped in the creek on the way in and washed my boots off, then applied that about 100 yards from the stand. I thought for sure he'd get me, but he never skipped a beat. I rank it right there with the smoker and a Thermacell as the best "gadget" I've ever bought.
