Its raining again this morning so I rolled over again....try it this PM.

Didn’t go out this morning because of northeast winds. Bad stand placement and they don’t seem to move for me in such winds anyway. Lots of people texting me this morning, however, saying they saw bucks while driving. I may have to say screw it and try to hunt this Northeast wind tonight. I know I have to maintain scent control but what are the ne winds doing for you all in the woods now? If rut ever hits guess it won’t matter right?

Wet and miserable. Only saw one little buck and about 40 turkeys.

Just had Breaker a 150+" with a broken brow tine at 25 yds. Totally missed. Probably deflected off one of the 10 or so saplings in between. He was following a doe around and chasing off 3 small bucks. Of course he stops on the path we take into the blind which isn't totally cleared. He jumped and then stood at 45 yds behind a pine tree for 5 minutes staring at me before taking off. SOB.

Saw a doe on the way in along road. Rain started up along with wind. Rain finally chased me out. No other deer. I'm in a ladder , so here i sit for a while. At least i have reception at this stand.
