If you have Facebook we have a page. It is Connor's Annual Kickball Showdown.
It has all the details about the event. I dont have a copy of the flyer with me but will text you one when i get out to my car.
I will let you know about the bracelets as soon as I know what my schedule is on Thursday.
It would be great to meet up with you guys if we can make it happen.

Doesn't make it go away I am sure, but those memorials have to help make you feel better. They would for me. Good to hear.

Hope its ok TOO vent a little.

With hunting season only a few days away I find myself reflecting a lot. As everyone knows when you lose someone it never gets easy. I still have times where it is really difficult. This time of year is one of those. I put off getting things ready until the last minute. I started checking gear yesterday. It's therapeutic but still hard. I got everything organized and ready to go. I still need to check stands to make sure they are all ready. Guess I will do that this weekend. Probably check main one Sunday afternoon then spend the evening in it if it all checks out. The last two seasons have been a busy for me. Missed a couple but honestly my heart was really not in it. I enjoyed the solitude in the stand reflecting more than picking up the bow. This year I plan on trying to get back in the game. I want to get that first one out of the way as I know the emotions are going to blow up. I know though that Connor would be telling me to suck it up and stop being a little girl get out there and get us some back straps and jerky. I usually do not hunt opening weekends. I think this year I change that and do everything I can to bring home some back straps and jerky for Connor. Even though I am not as prepared as I want to be I will make sure I am ready for that first opportunity. God willing. Time to put a smile on my little buddies face. As always it's almost time for me and Connor to hunt together again. Watch over everyone son.

You know its ok to vent here. When I read that you went through his clothes to donate, I thought to myself "Man, that had to be very difficult to do." You do what you need to. I don't think anyone here would or could blame you for taking it slow to get back out there. I hope you are able to get back into a stand and find some peace in the tranquility of the woods brother. We all have your back, if you need to vent further, you have my number.

It's always ok to vent on here, Jon. Just know that he'll be with you in the stand and he wouldn't want you to ever stop. Best of luck to you this season, and I'll see ya at Stroud's brother.

You have my number. Anytime of the day or night. I'll listen. My blue wristband is still on the quiver. Thoughts of Connor and you guys are with me. One step at a time. I can't promise you it will get easier. I don't know that nor do I ever want to know. I do know one day at a time, one step at a time is all we can do. My prayers continue.

Today marks 4 years.

Stay safe out there over this Holiday week. Give your loved ones an extra squeeze. Tomorrow is never guaranteed so take advantage of today.

The past 4 years have been a journey. I miss you everyday. I still ask myself what if and why. We know that everything happens for a reason we just wish we knew why. We long for the day that we are reunited but take solace in knowing that you are with Dad and Big Pop.
They say that Everytime you see a Cardinal that it is a visitor from heaven. Well we had a Cardinal coming by a couple times a day for about two weeks. He would fly straight to the truck and play by the side mirror. Guess he saw his reflection. And was trying to fight the reflection. He would stick around for 10-15 minutes at a time several times a day. I would watch him through the window and get a smile on my face.
Fly high son. We will see each other again.
