Well, seeing as it's once again tropical outside [emoji58]. I did a little bit of scouting with the small man on my back. The White oaks I have aren't dropping anything, the reds are slightly. More hickory nuts than I could count. Not too many rubs or scrapes in the woods yet. Need to mow a bit of corn for some shooting lanes and get on the brush hog and mow the rest of the property as well. Hopefully I can steal some time on Friday but either way looks to be cooling down next weekend

Very hot tonight. Sitting behind the house in a doe spot but I am not shooting any doe. With the hot weather and getting home late I decided to go here.
Exact same situation for me tonight. Tomorrow and friday mornings should be good. Rain then cold in NEO

Mason has been having one heck of a fun hunt tonight. He had 3 antlerless under 20 yards, downwind. Said they never even looked at him. Shortly after them, he had a "stud 8" come through. Tried to stop him in an opening but he didn't stop. Feeding on acorns. He snuck in tight to a bedding area on the ridge where he killed his first buck, ground assault. Almost worked. He claimed this deer was every bit as good as the big 8 he killed last year.

Holy cow it’s hot. Mason and I are smoked up and ready to roll. My daughter came home from school and wanted to work tonight. With Masons hunt last night, he wants to take me in the same oak flat to see if we can find that big 8 again. Who am I to argue?

I went fishing last night..... Did some stuff around the house and stripped the wife’s car out when she got home tony. It’s getting replaced this weekend. Heading to Va for that. Good way to stay out of the stand until the time is right....

Mason had another shooter come down the same trail tonight as the one did yesterday. Lol. His nerves are shot. This one was super wide with shorter tines. I saw nothing.
That’s friggin awesome that you guys are having great encounters this early this season Brock. How cool would it be if you two tagged out with two dandies even earlier than you did last year! Fingers crossed for youins.
