Dang BlueSpruce, sorry it didn’t work out with the big 8, learning from those mishaps is all you can do. Dust yourself off and hop back in that saddle👍🏻

Good luck!

Good Luck to you two! I'm going to "patiently" wait for a weather event.
Yeah, I was planning on that too but then my buddy had a free day, and there is nothing more than I want to get his first deer under his belt. Hard working man. After this I have a small amount, (like 85 acres) worth of mowing I need to do. Lmao.

Sucks, but he's found

Nice buck!

Bummer on what happened to him..

I see that you used your drone to assist in the recovery of your deer that you shot.

Can you legally use a drone to recover a deer that you shot?

I'm not certain so that's why I'm asking.

I can only assume that it is based on your post, but the law makes it rather confusing.

So I was wondering if there's something out there that is more clear about the aid of drones in the recovery of wild game that you shot that you can point me to.

Thanks!

Nah, that’s like the difference between dragging a deer or using a quad. Now using the quad to shoot from or drive deer to a shooter would be illegal. Using it after the hunt would be perfectly fine. That’s how I read that anyways.

Congrats ! I dunno where to post this. I'm sitting outside all day doing my cooking thing. I'm having to put up with a number of neighbors mowing & weed whacking . I've got the radio blaring & as I'm sitting up at the fire watching the dutch oven do its magic & drinking alcohol, I find myself covered in deer. I have two mature does & two fawns hitting my corn 25 yrds away. One of the matures walked right up to another spot a few yards away to where I was sitting & have another cam set up. Moral of the story ?, Don't let surrounding noise pollution make you think it ruined your hunt.

Although I have many examples over the years kind of attesting to this. Saturday was one of the worst. Literally spent 30 mins breaking branches to get to where i wanted to be in the tree. Got settled in and not 15 mins later these kids started riding quads not 600 yds away. Literally rode in circles for an hour but after all the work I put in I was not about to move setups just to lazy at that point. Finally thought they left and not 20 mins later 5 doe showed up. Then all hell broke loose guess they were hunting junior squirrel (i.e. Pa) and it sounded like war not 500 yds away for most the night. 6:30 comes around and they are still shooting periodically when all of a sudden a nice buck shows up and start chasing around the doe that were eating the acorns. He came up and literally made a scrap right under my stand busted me and somehow I missed a 3 yd shot on him. Second year in a row I missed a straight vertical shot like that very disheartening. Anyway moral of the story is kind of along your story sometimes we think noises bother them more than it actually does.
