Just got settled in my Western Stand.
Made a PLB earlier this afternoon.

Good luck 'TOOLENDERS'!
Just a followup of tonight's hunt.
Didn't see any deer until shortly after I pulled out the doe bleat call the last 10 minutes of legal time and used it repetitively. After approximately 8-10 turns of the can, I finally seen my first deer in the field to my south approximately 100 yards away.
Then I seen the deer quickly approaching me, which it turned out to be a young buck.
He got within 40 yards of me trying to find that crying doe. After a minute or two, he turned his attention away towards the middle of the field and then took off quickly.
I could see him chasing at least one antlerless deer in the middle of the field.
Next thing I hear are leaves thrashing to my North, coming from the other side of the creek and our alfalfa field.
I turned and looked.
It was a decent typical eight pointer that did everything he could to get to where he thought there was that bleating doe.
He crossed the creek like it was nothing even though the creek-bank is like a 15' drop straight down.
Once he crossed, he got within 10 yards of me. Then he stopped just past me and stood perfectly broadside at 20 yards momentarily.
Then a doe showed up near the edge of the field near where you see that little buck in the photograph above.
That bigger buck locked eyes onto her and then the chase was on.
I watched him chase her all over that southern field.
At that point, I seen three more deer in the field to my West, but I couldn't tell what they were cause by that time it was a little 'TOO' dark.
All in all, it was another fun hunt.
I think things are about to break loose real soon here.
I'll be back at again tomorrow.
Good night 'TOOville'!
