Man that's a bummer . Most of us have been right there and it sucks .

I brought my LW and 4 sticks and set up in a oak thicket near a bunch of scrape that have been getting destroyed . My buddy who invited me has several shooters on camera and is on the other end of the thicket.

I have a doe here already so hopefully a good one shows

I'm back out. Had some fucking photographer trampsing around the farm this weekend plus the mowers are back out. Gonna sit in what used to be one of our woods food plot but, now I'm renaming it the International Squirrel Preserve lmao. Tree rats everywhere!!!! Not perfect sit by any means by any means but, nice to be out for sure! Hoping a new one strolls by! Good luck boys!!

Getting ready to go back out in a bit. I switched out cards on the way out. There were some deer feeding near my popup that I didn't see this morning. One of 'em kept looking up my way so either she was looking for the bucks that are hanging out in that area, or me. Cam was also showing a decent buck cruising the thicket recently, so I'll be in the popup.

I’m out. Very discouraging at the lack of sightings in the past week. Shitty attitude. Should be inside with the family. I never rattle. I let off a grudge sequence right when I sat down just to make sure I spook everything.
I'm not a huge moon guy and def. not a huge "listen to everything, every jackwagon on the Outdoor Channel says" BUT the Drurys just had a short video on the lack of movement in some areas due to dark moon conditions. It's shown pretty consistent with what I'm seeing. No movement on stable weather days. Lots of movement during pre and post weather front times. Supposed to kick up a bit in the next week but, who knows.

Yeah I get it. Thursday should start off some good hunting for a week or two.

Yeah I think so too. Idk where you're at but here in northern Medina county, we usually don't see a huge pickup til maybe today- 14. Every year the day of my sons birthday (Nov. 15) we get lots of chasing around here. Happens every year I can remember. So that's always a plus. I'm holding out that I've killed a deer on Nov. 5 for the last 5 years. Come on good juju! Lol

Back in my Western Stand from now until dark, as planned.

My front yard across the way you see here.

Anyhow, I'm settled in now and kinda expect to see those same bucks I seen earlier this morning come cruising on back through around dusk perhaps.

I will say, my creek clearing that I did yesterday worked like a charm cause not only was I able get to my stand very quietly twice today, on the way back after my morning hunt, there were alkinds of fresh deer tracks through there as well, either from last night and/or sometime this morning.

Didn't see any deer in my afternoon Eastern Stand hunt, however on my hike back to my Western Stand evening hunt, I did see two Does (non- harassed) on their feet @2:30 behind a neighbor's house.

So, that's a good sign I suppose.

Hopefully the deer activity will pick back up here soon.

Good luck 'TOO'-CREW!!!

I'm trying to make it happen :)

Thought I'd share a little more.

I have about 8 acres of frontage that you see below with a one an a half of it being an alfalfa field that the deer truly like.

The whole place is surrounded by two creeks.

The rest is mowed grass with a verity of various trees, such as big White Pines, big Norway Pines, big Silver & Sugar Maples, tons of huge Walnut trees, big Daniel Fur Pines and tremendous Sicamors.

The neighboring properties are huge farms with ag fields across the road, CRP fields & hardwoods also surrounding us.

I have access to approximately 1,000 acres to hunt, but I mainly hunt very close to my home, roughly within a couple hundred acres at best is what I mainly hunt.

I have plenty of deer signs all around my place and like I said previously, the deer use these creeks heavily this time of year.
