I hunted the last hour in half this evening.

Seen a bunch of deer hitting the cut corn fields real hard.

I'd say somewhere around 10-15 of them total within the last 30 minutes.

Most of them seen though were four fields over on private property that is heavily restricted, meaning hardly any human hunting pressure.

I had three antlerless deer that was out in front of me at the same time approximately hundreds yards away.

They never got within bow range.

I had to wait on them to leave the area before I could climb down.

They were between me and my home.

I kinda expect tomorrow evening to be fairly active as well cause of the incoming cruddy weather that's due on Friday & all day Saturday.

Years ago I was hunting deer between their bedding and a cut corn field that they were going to every night to feed. Problem was, they were using a piece of property that there was absolutely no hunting allowed. I bought four or five bars of soap (Irish spring) and cut them into four pieces. I stood near the property line on land that I was allowed to hunt and used a sling shot to launch those pieces of soap as far as I could onto the restricted land. I drove around to the other side of the property and did the same thing. After a couple of days, it altered their movement and they started using land that I had access to. After about a week, they did get used to it and started using the restricted land again, but it did get me another week of deer sightings. Something you may want to try...unless there is someone else actually hunting that restricted piece. I wouldn’t want to mess up their hunt. It’s a good tactic for land that is strictly off limits to all hunting.
