Well it’s a wrap for a couple days. 6 deer seen w two being spikes. I also missed a bobcat. Rushed the shot as it was not hanging around.

Starting Friday you guys should dry out a little bit. Supposed to rain from now until then lol.

Guess whose back, shadys back! Actually rolled in yesterday at noon. Got in stand before 3 and deer was moving. No shooters or even rack bucks was seen but a few does and bunch of fawns. Rut is kicking, no chasing around here that I have seen. Deer was spooky all day, like on high alert and spikes had nose to ground like a bird dog trying to hit a scent line. Overall I seen up to 20.... I lost count and wasn’t sure some were same deer.
This morning it’s 47 with heavy overcast. Dark morning and really couldn’t see much for first 15 minutes after daybreak. Windy out of the north. Hopefully a shooter shows up so I can get on some ducks. Seems like a few mallards has finally made their way down to us. I could hear some in my pond.

Only seen a spike and a bobcat. Started to rain at 10 so I got down. Pulled my card. Got a couple nice bucks.

Thanks, actually hoping Hunter gets to shoot one. Cant keep him off the public land. He has that I’m gonna kill a good one on public. I get it, been there, done that, got the racks on the wall.
Our season ends last of January.

Got some good weather after this rain. Taking the boys on a duck hunt in the morning. Got 6 of us in camp. Supposed to be light rain in the morning and getting heavier during the day. The deer can wait a day to die. Sent hunter to scout this hole and he said it had 300 woodies and 25 mallards in it. We gonna try it out.

It’s raining! Did I say it’s raining? Well it’s fucking raining! Ain’t quit since yesterday morning. Not quitting till 4am tomorrow. To say my crossing is under is a understatement. Went down by the river to go get boat and was down in the water on the ramp. A sapling and current had it hung up luckily. Drove the atv to the lights and was 3’ from getting to it. The wave from the atv made the boat shift and it turned to go down current. I climbed on the front, stretched out and as the boat spun around the corner was barely reachable.
Told the boys to bring boat to property and Hunter said it was already impassable by atv. Looks like paddle across and hump in 3/4 mile now. If I kill I will have to cart it back to creek. Fun fun lol.

We having fun. Just wish I was in a stand instead of camp. And wish my bridge wasn’t under.

Done the snow last year. Four of us hunted the property and seen 60 deer. First time ever seeing a deer w snow on the ground down here. They usually just bed up. It was crazy.
Now as for snow over 1’ deep, you Yankees can have all the yellow snow lol.
