And just like that, pheasant season has come to an end.
Clint and I hunted hard yesterday. We covered 6 miles per gps. We didn’t move a bird until about mile 5, then they were all flushing too far to shoot.
This afternoon was a bit better. We saw about a dozen I’d guess, killed two. Chubs pointed really well, he’s going to be a really good dog and I’m super happy with how he is doing.
Here is a pic of Clint with a rooster killed in the last minutes of season, along with Chubs, Abe and Annie. These dogs really put the work in and it is truly an enjoyable thing to watch.
