What are you wanting to do with this camper? 30’ is a lot of camper for 2 people only a couple of times a year. Not exactly what I would consider an entry level. Or have you had a few before and know what you want?

What layout are you looking for? Bunkhouse, rear living, park model? Or just looking for a deal that you can flip? Lots of options in campers. I’m going to assume you want a bumper pull?

More than just two people at times, maybe up to eight and and far as layout options, it doesn't really matter as long as it has some decent living room space/area or whatever you want to call it.

It'll be used regularly for about a year or so, then perhaps I'll consider something different depending on what we get first.

It will be used for work mainly, some hunting perhaps and possibly some pleasure from time to time.

I have a class IV hitch on the truck with a total truck weight capacity of 9,000 lbs.

Yes, I'm looking for a decent deal and the camper doesn't need to have all the bells and whistles, just a good AC unit and all the other basic working living necessities.

It doesn't need to be show room worthy either, more functional than anything else really.

Evans in Wilmington sells a lot of campers in this area for good prices. I would suggest going and talking to Jamie and walking his lot.

One thing you should know about buying campers, never pay anything close to asking price. You can generally buy a new $40,000 camper for around $27,000. So buying a used one for $25,000 doesn’t make much sense. You can find yourself in a pretty nice camper for around $15,000 with a couple of years on it. I also wouldn’t be scared to buy one 10 years old that sat in a campground year around. You can generally get a smoking deal on those with no miles on them.

They all have issues. It’s a toy, not an investment, not a tool. It’s a toy and it’s going to cost you money.

You really do need to walk a few to get an idea of what you want. Prices are all over with these things with options and floor plans. Resale sounds like something you want to keep in mind with a year plan. We can talk more in person.

I have no idea if he would have what you’re looking for but a lot of folks buy campers from Gary Binegar right here in Greenfield. Might be worth checking them out. He has a sign out indicating a clearance on 2019 models.

So I’ve had the camper out a few times this winter so far. Had it in Athens last weekend for ML. It’s still hooked to the truck because I was just worn out when I got home. Thinking about having a weekend with my boys at paint creek. Crappie have to be biting and it’s homecoming or winter formal or some shit. I don’t want to be home...

I don’t think I’ve ever used my camper this much during the winter. That fireplace is a game changer! It’s enough to keep the crisp out of the air and even hot during the day. It’s still winterized, so no water. But it beats sleeping in the truck, tent or hotel!
