Haha! Weird...he’s wearing blue coveralls.😂 TANK! Congrats
No, that one is not even close to the one “blue coveralls “ will be chasing. BC probably won’t even go hunting until Thanksgiving, he’s got a lot of crops to knock down before he spends an hour in pursuit of yet another Booner. Lol
Giles, this one was shot on Arc property though.

It’s been a wild couple of days. Yesterday morning Mason took a friend out in hopes of getting his first deer. He arrived early per Masons request to insure his crossbow was properly dialed in. It was so off to the woods they went. Mason took him to a stand on an acorn flat They saw 13 deer by 9. Lucas made what Mason claimed to be a perfect shot on a young buck. A long track job netted an arrow with the broadhead unscrewed. No beds were found. Strange.
I still can’t walk much due to my back issues. Krista dropped me off at a corn pile about 530 last night. She drove the truck right to it. I made the 50 foot walk to my hiding spot and settled onto my bucket I had just nicked an arrow on my longbow when a big lone doe showed up. She had no clue I was there and I promptly put a Snuffer through her. I felt pretty confident I’d recover the deer, but like Masons friend, I did not. I’ve hung the longbow up as I obviously have no business shooting at live flesh and bone with it.
Mason drove me to a stand tonight. I saw two coons, a possum, muskrat and a bunch of squirrels. Mason saw 15 deer, six bucks, the biggest about 120”. No deer were harmed tonight. I think I’m done for a while since I’m a little frustrated with recent events and the inability to get around much. Mason will carry on I’m sure.
Hey look, a blood soaked arrow...

Tough day for sure. Not being able to get around has to suck, especially with bow season.
It sure as heck does. I did the same thing last year but I’ve hurt myself much worse this year. Going on 5 freaking weeks with it right now but it is starting to improve I think.

Hang in there Brock and stick with it. I hope your back gets to feeling better before the action starts really picking up.

I don’t think anyone could get used to this. It was a nice sharp pain above my butt cheek to start, moved into my hip joint over time. Now thankfully, it’s not a full time pain. Just happens when I walk for more than a few feet or stand for a minute. My right butt cheek to my knee feels like a world class burning cramp. And as far as enduring that, nope. It will sit you down.
I’m fortunate that I have a good friend and neighbor who is a chiropractor. He’s worked on me a good bit but it seems to be more painful when he does so I’ve cut that out. He stopped in the shop yesterday and seemed a bit concerned that it hadn’t let up yet but I honestly do feel a little better today. I had this once before and it lasted a month or so before vanishing. I’m looking forward to waking up one day soon to be back to normal. Getting old ain’t for sissies. Another thing that I count myself fortunate for; the guy in the picture I posted with the giant buck is a physical therapist/trainer as is evident by his gym rat body. He showed me some freakishly strange stretches to do and they really do seem to be helpful. I’ll probably live through all this in spite of my best efforts. It’s inconvenient for now but will eventually pass I’m sure.
