If anyone has a kitchen aid mixer and needs a grinder they have their metal version with coarse, medium, and fine grinder blades and sausage stuffers on sale right now. $69.99. I borrowed a buddies to try out Sunday. It worked great. I went and ordered one Sunday evening.

I usually always took mine to the processor. No real reason other than getting Jerky and Summer Sausage made. Decided this year I would just start making my own. Like others I enjoy cutting them up so it's time to start getting all the tools I need.

I butchered my first deer yesterday. Now I understand how it completes the hunt and the memory. I need to better understand the muscle structures so I can do a better job, but it will eat the same.

You can learn the muscle structures by using your fingers to separate instead of the knife. Debone segments as a whole to break down lightly with the knife but more so with fingers.

After using my boss' Cabelas 1 horse, I don't know if I can get an inferior grinder. That thing EATS!

One this is for certain, there is no such thing as a grinder that’s too big. I have a cabelas half-horse with a #8 size neck. It’s been great and has chewed up many a deer over the past 12 years. But I want a bigger one.

I jumped on a similar deal a few years ago, only it was at Costco.

I had a real nice one, maybe a step down from Jesse's. Had the roll cutter on top, all the buttons for moist, dry, etc.. The electrical board started blinking last year and would sometimes work, sometimes not. I went to my backup, the old original foodsaver. It works great, just takes a few extra seconds to do the job. I should get a another new one
