The town in S.C. my son lives in has had 8 of the 12 reported cases of the virus in the entire state....
The worst part of this for me are the people that contribute to community spread because they are selfish and or stupid or both

was the cold knowing I meant covid19. I know exactly what I’m talking about. I’m not going to chest thump or tell everyone my profession but know that I can reference it as specifically as you'd like. Sorry man can't help you there. Dudes weird and flat out likes nut pictures. Strangest thing I've ever seen but to each their own.
They not busted us 100% just yet but they are on the edge of infringing on our rights. "No gatherings of more than 100 people." Currently it is a self quarantine. Will this change? When our local hospital goes on lock down for a time period yesterday. . .what if I was having a heart attack? When do we officially lose our right to peacefully assemble? What about our freedom of religion? They going to stop us from going to church? (I'm going to view online tomorrow. Just saying, it could happen.) They are dancing on the edge of some of our freedoms. It happened quickly and the people were all pretty okay with it in the name of safety. Just scary if you think about it in this context.
Thanks for the reply Phil - sure is something to think about - i was in grade school during WWII - we were under rationing for some food - items - no butter - - rationed gasoliene - car tires - remember guy driving on rims - had air raid warnings where they made you turn off all lights - air raid wardens checking and other stuff -

I don't want to go down the rabbit hole. I'm not an extremist. If you step back and look at the big picture it is scary. How far will they go? Is it necessary? Is it an over reach? Is it short term? Is it long term? As a plain ol regular citizen I really don't know. ANYTIME the govt says "don't worry. We've got this." That is the time to worry. Right now they aren't mandating that I am aware of. Just a little scary. I'm not a fan of obeying everything I've been told. Yet. . .found myself telling my near 16 year old son yesterday "We need to follow their wishes right now. We just don't know. You aren't going to a party."

Well that didn't take long. Dang. It's almost like continuity of operations is my career or something. .
Staffing is a tough question though. Goes for any business really. In most businesses you have to identify critical businesses process so as staff dwindles you know and can continue the services that matter. In healthcare, critical business processes are pretty obvious and likely very understaffed from the get-go. In vitally they called back retired doctors and nurses. But they can do that because they have government healthcare and pensions. I saw that South Korea was training teenagers because they're less susceptible. In the US we would likely have to rely on federal agencies like FEMA, DOH, and private org's like the red cross, etc. Even still there aren't enough to go around. Better start throwing some cash at those STNAs.
