These are baby smallmouth compared to those ones up above, but fair sized for the creek they were in. Good fun on a fly rod.

We worked them over pretty well on Saturday. I'd hate to guess how many fish we caught, but it was a lot. I caught a mix of smallmouth bass, spotted bass (just one), rock bass, and green sunfish. I had a gorgeous longear sunfish come after my crawfish fly but its stomach was bigger than its mouth.

Made a trip inbetween the islands this past weekend. Good chop on the lake for drifting. We started on the outside of the pack of boats and drifted SE in 36ft out to 40ft. Since we were casting, we targeted the high water column fish. They ran on the smaller side at 17-23" but were snapping good. Fishing wasn't hot and heavy, but we plucked at them and got our 12 in 4 long drifts. Most fish were around 10-20 count with weight forwards.

Greyson and I hit up Indian Lake today. Only trolled from 9 - 11:30 a.m. It was mostly a trip to see how the new motor ran with some new hoses and clips. Was surprised to see little boat traffic out there. I let Grey reel in everything that we hooked. He landed a 30" flathead, 2 keeper Saugeye, and 2 white bass, one of which was a fish ohio. Also released probably 10 short saugeye
