I don't see the point of dropping a live wire onto the ground though. Unless he needs a barrier, it seems pointless.
Honest question... What makes y’all think there will be another lockdown? Just that flu season is coming up? I don’t watch TV unless the Tribe is playing, so I really am ignorant to everything going on (thankfully?). How do we know all this COVID crap won’t just go away after the election (regardless of who wins)?

I think the Covid crap will go away. Oh it will still be a real Illness but we won’t have every facet of life revolving around it imo. What I think will hit the fan is the Marxist crap being disguised as black equality. Those libs are getting violent. Normal people should not allow that crap much longer. If it moves into rural America, lots of people gonna die.
I'm kinda feeling in the same boat here. I have basically completely unplugged all major media. So whats the trigger? Jesse, has the wife heard some things through work that they for see coming or is it something else?
I don't think this will be a virus thing. It'll be a post-Trump victory civil war thing. Once the violent protesters start working into the rural areas, death will follow and it won't be us "backward" folk. I believe we'll see a "national security" lockdown. That said, yes, she's heard rumors to expect another shutdown around Thanksgiving due to the virus, but I think that's less speculative than the security issue.
I agree with Jesse. It won't be Rona related. People are flat sick and tired of getting shit on. Every day the anger grows and no one seems to give a fuck to stop these idiots. Americans will rise up and make it stop. That video that someone posted with the black dude talking in the car was spot on. People are gonna die and once that happens, the government will try and lock everyone down. But because of this Rona shit, no one will listen.

If an urban uprising ever occurred the theory is to disrupt power transmission to major metropolitan areas. Large transmission insulators are not easy or quick to replace. Especially a lot of them all around a city that is currently experiencing an uprising. A lack of power will only accelerate the urban demise and lead to more infighting every night. The The tactic is to get them to fight themselves instead of having to fight them and drawing bad PR for the absolute ass whipping that would happen.
Leave the power on. Take out cell phone towers and data cables. Your theory sounds good, but power runs in loops, they'll just backfeed it from another source. Dropping insulators doesn't cut the power off anyways. You'd be better off shooting the line itself to break the loop.

I'm not talking about one or two insulators on a single transmission line here Dave. Think hundreds all around major metropolitan areas. Cellular, water, and food supplies would also in play in a civil war. The theory is to remove as much public services as possible so they fight themselves. Then the government gets involved and they fight them and eachother. It remains a "them" problem. The biggest weakness these people have are their reliance on services and utilities. If that goes way chaos starts pretty quick. Look at Katrina, Portland, the stupid antifa camp where people were getting robbed, raped, assaulted and shot in a nightly basis. Why be the bad guy when they themselves are already a powder keg, the theory is to just be the match.

I get what you are saying. I just don't want to get washed out by those smart enough to leave the city because they don't have power.

Block roads with stolen semis. In a civil war they would try to leave anyway and return using the city as a base of operations. Deny them the ability to have a viable base of operations by causing internal chaos. Deal with the one's who leave. You would much rather deal with them in rural terrain than urban fortified conflict anyway.
Tracie and I have discussed the "line in the sand" for me to take up arms and go on the offensive. It's effectively our zip code. If we need to muster a defense of my hometown, I'm in. Until then, I gotta preserve my homestead and family. But, if it comes to Barlow, I'm ready to assemble.
Since we've already jumped...How many people would that take?
That would have to be a group attack. Either from a party group or military, IMO. One or two people couldn't pull this off and stay alive.
