I scouted behind the barn of a land owner tonight. Binos and video camera. Nothing worth recording. Given the EHD in my area I was VERY pleasantly surprised to see 13 slick heads pile into the beans. Granted, 3 of them were 2-3yr old does, and 10 appeared to be yearlings. Later I had a nice 2yr old 8pt roughly 110" raking a tree and move into the beans. There is hope! Washing my gear now. I'll keep scouting via binos and cameras. I'll keep shooting my bow. Maybe late October I'll buy a tag and hit the woods. Might eat the tag if it is all yearlings, but at least I'll be in the woods.
