Fuckin sweet. Congrats man.For sure! I went to one of the farms I have permission in Medina county. Got in around 2:30 and saw a nice 8 immediately. He ended up coming into range and I decided to pass as I took off two weeks from work that started this Monday. An hour later I had two more young guys come by and wonder off. Around 6:10 I threw out a couple soft grunts and shot this guy at 15 yards 10 minutes later. He ran 30 yards and tipped over in sight. Now I’m just cheering for my wife and dad to get one down.

Bird of prey of some sort make a swipe at a young'n perhaps? I've never seen it happen, but have heard of it happening.

That's interesting because we do have some big birds in the area, including American Bald Eagles and the Great Horn Owl. In fact, I saw this afternoon a big Redtail that I believe hunts our field regularly.

Back out. I'm staying away from Ambush Alley until the AM. I'm up in the blind next property over. I'm just seeing that a lone doe came out of the woodlot about an hr ago. She wasn't being harassed.
We are out. Little warm still better than not being here...

Doe was just 30 yards out in front & property owner just arrived with weed whacker. She hasn't lived here in years, but she's wanting to come back so she's been trying to clean the place up. I was helping her mulch leaves yesterday thinking it would get her out of here sooner. Today, she's on her own.

Three antlerless deer, a button and two does, have nearly made a complete circle around me over the past hour. Within bow range the entire time. Now all three are bedded just West of me @30 yards. It's going to be another interesting night trying to get home. Oh well, the joys of hunting
