After checking cams yesterday I’m waiting on a random stranger to come through.... not doing that in the rain. When/if it stops I will head out. It is absolutely pouring here. Good luck to all who are out.

So. Let's count the blunders so far

1. Woke up way late
2. It's raining
3. Bumped a deer behind the house and possibly one near the edge of the woods
4. Wind is swirling at best
5. All my cams went dead

But I'm sitting here still. In the rain. Waiting on a man deer. Probably just gonna get covid-19 from this rain [emoji6]. Well it's all day for. Stay tuned if ya want to laugh.

Light drizzle in Vinton county...wind changing direction every few minutes. Radar shows it outta here soon...maybe they will move when it stops. Good luck everyone.

Rain picked up...looks like once this cell moves past, it’ll be clearing up. Forecasts says rain chance drops from 100% now to 24% by 9:00 then drops from there. Temps will start to drop late this afternoon. Very quiet here and hardly any action on the cams overnight so I hope they are hungry!....or horny.

Back in the stand, no wind to speak of and 26 degrees. Clear skies, should be a good hunt for one of us. Watching mallards pour in to this tank while waiting on mr Bucky.

One little buck on his feet and searching so far.

Last night I went to the local carryout and I saw one big buck and 4 or 5 other deer in the alfalfa field just S-SW & SE of me.

Wearing my rain jacket cause it was sprinking rain when I left the shop. I also brought my tree umbrella cause they're calling for more showers in about hour from now.

The first time I used a climber I didn’t tie my pull rope to the stand. I usually get dressed at the base of the tree. I’ve left many things on the ground in the dark that I had to go back down for.
Weather channel is calling for rain through 6:00. Accuweather says around noon.

Had a doe and her fawns come busting ass out of the thicket and run across the open field 150 yds away to the south. They stopped a couple times to look behind them, mom was panting. Out of nowhere a 3 pt came running straight to me, had him at 16 yds. Wish I could sit all day but gotta head into work shortly. Good luck everyone
