@TinyTucky we used a buck and doe decoy last weekend and almost every deer came to them. Most held up about 50 yards to the front of them.

Rain supposed to be through by early morning...then overcast with sun late afternoon. Deer seem to always move during very light rain/overcast conditions.

Close one fellas. Probably could have shot, but was convinced he was committed to the does. He's a big SOB, night pics don't do him justice. He was all infront of my cam. Should have pics to share later. Hoping he swings back through.

Notta do far. Isaac sat with me until 8, headed in for school. Warm weather seems to have put a damper on things here. Cameras even slow since Friday.

Getting ready to slip out and head to work. 3 does earlier and a 2.5yr old buck scent checking the field edge then dipped into the beds. Gonna do this again tomorrow without the decoy. Hopefully the cooler temps will bring out the big bois.

The smallest BB ever is stripping honeysuckle under me. He’s a good 6 years from being ready to shoot. Needed binoculars from straight above to see the buttons.
Just had a fun encounter. Decent sized doe came in. Probably 2yr old. Pretty jumpy.Then a yearling doe came in and ran her off. Next came four more small deer. At least 2 were button bucks. The bigger button nearly ate an arrow. The loner yearling was being pursued by the button bucks. Not full on chasing. Just pestering. I think momma has run her off because momma is close to being ready but the button bucks haven't figured it out. All I know for sure is the little girl went the wrong way in the creek and took a swim. Pretty comical to watch.
Had to stop typing. 2 yr old buck made an appearance at 40yd. Might need to sit longer than I was planning. I may shoot him just to fill the freezer.

I have half a beef, 1/4 of an elk and Tyler’s deer..... freezer is full. I will never shoot anything but a mature buck in November with a bow.

Skunked last night and again this morning. I have 167 pictures in between over the night. Time to do some camp chores. Be hunting in shorts this PM.
Mine got spooked at 10 yd after seeing it and left. Yikes....leaving it home as well
News this morning showed the line of rain should be out of Ohio about noon-1 tomorrow.

Basically nothing since the big buck left. Saw roughly 10 deer by 8am, 3 bucks. Now dead. My little friend from yesterday is back and bedded 20 yards in front of me. She's so hidden i keep forgetting She's there. Wind is picking up and is not favorable. Debating on slipping out.
