Put on 9.24 miles at salt fork today. Found tons of good sign, a few tree stands, bumped a real nice single sided buck out of his bed at 25 yards which was pretty crazy, as well as probably 25-30 does. No sheds though! Absolutely gorgeous out there today!

I did walk 4 plus miles yesterday hitting several farms for the first time without any luck other than my first deadhead buck of the season. It didn’t carry a very big frame but looked to have some age to him as the bases and pedicles were pretty impressive. I’d also say he was injured a season or two ago cuz his right side had some fuggery to it.

Found 4 today one set that dropped when he jumped the creek. That little spike is a true trophy though.Lol
Saw several deer a few still holding both sides.. was nice to be outdoors even though it was 18⁰ here this morning.

It’s truly amazing the amount of quality sheds you pick up every year on that one farm buddy! It’s pretty dang cool how that one log has become your place to take the picture of your days finds! You oughta makeup a name for it like, The Shed Bed or something....lol👍🏻

All you guys walking after work motivated me, I deferred my last two weekends to a project at the house so I decided to take a little walk tonight. One little guy, walked for about an hour and a half. I pulled my cam behind the house and have a picture of him on the 9th sporting one side.

Here’s a close up of the mass this buck had around his bases and pedicles. He didn’t have the IT factor but who knows for sure. A buck can jump 25-35” from 3.5 to 4.5 and the next few years but who knows if this buck wasn’t already at 6.5-7.5...?!?!🤷🏻‍♂️View attachment 123266
You planning to euro mount that or anything Rick? Pretty unique deer, sucks to find them dead but cool find!
