I have shot 2 groundhogs out of trees over the years but never saw one this high (15 ft +). I didn’t have a gun so he got lucky

I’m no expert on snappers but I from what understand this is probably a female that was out in the field to lay eggs.

Heck yeah! I'll have to check our trees next time we are down, plus the one's in the back yard here.
Look what I almost stepped on in the yard. He was dried out and I thought he was a dried up maple leaf. Gotta love spring.

They're catching 9'6" gators in town, the termites are swarming, there's snakes in the garage, the turtles are on the move, crawfish in the pot, Magnolias are in full bloom, the skeeters are at war with the deer flies for who gets to bite ya, hurricane season is at the front door, and the humidity is rising. Yeah man! it's summer in the south!

Saw a garter snake next to the house...planted flowers in the flower bed...trimmed up around the shrubs/vines.

Finished cleaning around the koi pond. Every time I go to the mountains in Potter county Pennsylvania, I make it a point to bring back a couple rocks with fossils in them. They are very common up there. I’ve got probably close to 100 around the pond over the years.

I was working outside and turned to see this guy putting the stalk on me. He was probably thinking he hit the jackpot with this 270 pound mouse.
I relocated him to the barn as I’ve seen mice in there the last couple times I was inside there.
