Looks like we're gonna get hit here real soon with somethin. Winds are swirling real hard and heavy dark clouds coming in from all directions. Tempature is falling quickly too, but it definitely feels much better than 90+*...

What are yall using to keep updates on Ida? Being unplugged, it kinds hurts me for updates on news like this. Searched youtube a little.

Several good ones out there, but I use mainly 'Radar Now' and 'Windy'. AccuWeather.com running in the back ground on PC, even though that site is just full of Ads and more or less spyware shit, but if you use some network system third party protection along with local security config changes to better protect your identity and system, it's really not a problem to utilize them.

I do not purchase anything I do not feel the need for if I can get it free and still protect me and my network/cellphone.

Good luck and hope others chime in for you!

@giles, here is another that I use, mainly for history and/or more defined details of what's happening currently. Gives me the ability to run my own customized reports. I try to stay away from government sites as much as possible. This particular site scrubs those NOAA sites and others. Just another option for ya.

Not hearing all too much about the other massive storm on the southern-west coast hitting Mexico either.

Ida is in the upper right corner and this is the latest satellite image. I tried to upload the gif file, but the TOO system didn't like it, assuming the file was too big.

Our goto consolidation link is BearPaws: - http://www.bearpawsweather.com/tropical/index.html If you're interested in an amalgamation of "storm" data in a very well laid out fashion give him a try.

One thing I watch for the actual strength of these beasts are the sea buoys, a this is how the storm surge gets built - it literallyshoves this wall of water along in front of it.... I know it's peak to trough but that's the energy being put into it.

@Wildlife - I found this site to be super friendly manipulating gifs size etc... https://ezgif.com/
