Tornado sirens woke me up about 15 minutes ago. Apparently, there's a tornado warning once again for us this year. I believe it's just now past us, I think.... can't tell what we've got until daylight shows up pretty much. We did have some real strong winds at least.

All is okay!
Just drove around the block in the neighborhood. We have a fair amount of tree debris in the yard, including the other second half a shrub in the front yard that is now finished. The last tornado warning earlier in the year took out the first half of that shrub.
The neighbor on the other side of our creek, just NE of us, on top of the hill, his standing corn took the major brunt of the storm. Nearly all of his corn is sheared in half and knocked over, and his neighbor has a real big tree down right next to the road. Other than that, looks like all the damage wasn't all that bad for the most part. Just some minor clean up.
Apparently, there was a news report of the tornado warning last night in Highland Co., which is just SW of us -

Our area seems to have a long history of tornados, and I did not know just how prevalent they are for our area until I just looked it up this morning. Below is map of confirmed tornados for the general area of the past. We have been getting tornado warnings at least once a year for the last few years since we've lived here.

It kinda sucks cause I had plans of hunting first thing this morning, but instead I slept in and then inspected whatever storm damage instead during daylight. I'll get out this afternoon and hunt the rest of the day within the big woods just south of me, then hit it again tomorrow.
Good luck to whomever is out hunting this weekend!
