I slipped out early at my 'Western Stand'. Then swapped SD card at the TC @10:15 a.m. followed up by a 'still'/'scout' hunt to the house from there. I discovered several new tree rubs and fresh scrapes along the way since I hunted the place last Monday evening.
Once back at the shop with warm coffee, I went through the weeks worth of TC data at that setup. I would've been much better off huntin at home yesterday evening than at the other farm. If I did, I'm fairly certain that 'THUNDER' would've been history.
This was the setup I hunted this morning. I didn't see or hear anything, even while 'still huntin' back to the house. After reviewing all the data from that TC, I do believe I know why I didn't see anything. The past few days have been extremely busy at that location, during the dark hours mainly, especially last night. The 4th showed plenty of daylight activity, midmorning onward. The past few days would have been very entertaining for such evening hunts.. Another one of the mature bucks has been showing up lately as well over the past couple of days, 'TANK'. He's a horse of a deer that is a real good looking tall eight. He may get an arrow if he shows up before 'THUNDER' or 'VEGAS'.
So, take a wild guess where I'll be at during the 4 o'clock hour, and the wind is going to be absolutely perfect for it.
Anyhow, I've got some chores to catch up on around the house this afternoon, then I'll be out later at you know where.
