Best team won tonight but those NFL caliber WR not playing tonight made the Heisman have to work harder tonight. I agree with Joe that game would have been closer if they played but lots of teams dealt with stars not playing.
Georgias front 7 are all beasts!! Loaded up front with size and speed! That was the difference in the game IMO.

What a fight by GA. They really pushed hard after their earlier season loss to get back in it and eventually win the CFP. It's been a long time coming for Ga and they always seemed to get robbed or flop. Great comeback story. Knowing that Bama had zero recievers left they knew they had to shutdown the run and force pressured throws to inexperienced recievers. It worked. They showed up and did what they had to do.

No doubt that Ga front 7 were beasts and brought the pressure to force some wonkey throws to inexperienced recievers. There were three passes that I have no doubt William's would have came down with though. Two for sure TDs and one potential. This is why I hate that Bama has gotten so far away from the "run da bawl" game and started to rely so much on passing. It's much harder to have the depth required to win championships when you don't at least have the run threat to go with it. Not that it would have mattered much tonight as that GA front line was killing it on stopping the run. I guess you can do that when you don't have to worry about recievers though. 😅

Spread the love and at the end of the day the natty stays in the SEC!

I didn't care who won, I just wanted to see a good game. And it was. I really thought that UGA fumble that led to a Bama TD was going to swing the momentum too far to the tide and that would be it, but UGA bounced right back. The slow motion replay of the late INT where you can see Kirby Smart jump as the INT happened was hilarious. Kirby had a decent vertical on that one!

I just wish the entire game was played like the second half. First half was safe football. No one pushing or trying anything crazy. Just 2 good teams playing safe.

Never was stinging. They were just a way better team. They played 17 different 5 stars to our 3. Just a mind boggling number
That’s why I was so high on them after watching them the first 3-4 weeks. The size, speed and nastiness was blaring but I knew Kirby would have to face “THE MAN” a few times to win it all and that was the only variable that was uncertain for me. He got schooled in the first game but adjusted and got his team in right mind set the second game. Kinda reminded me of OSU and CLEM matchups year before last and last year.

You gotta admit though if William's didn't trash his knee that game would have gone a whole other direction. Metchie the other star reciever suffered a similar injury in the first game against Ga in the SEC championship. Put those two players, or even 1 of them back on the field and the NC would have been a repeat of the SEC championship. In the Dec. 4 win over the Bulldogs, the two combined for 50 percent of the completions, 100 percent of the touchdowns and two thirds of the receiving yards. I don't think GA "adjusted" so much as Bama just lost critical talent.
