I did a little surf and turf last night. Bacon wrapped venison loin and smoked shrimp.
Where’s the biscuits?Remember that squirrel I mentioned earlier, well after boiling it this past weekend I let it cool down then let the pieces soak in the broth till about an hour ago. Fried it up in butter after dredging in flour and seasoned with pepper and Lawreys. Sat the pieces aside till I made the gravy then crumbed up a slice of bread and smothered the hell out of it and whalla………great late lunch while watching the NCAA TOURNAMENT…..

Squirrel is truly one of the best most tasty overlooked critter out there that many have never tried I bet! One of my faves for sure! I usually smother a half plate of candied yams with this meal but made the most of it. Lol
Daughter and SIL have something similar. They use it a lot….
I really like the Everglades family of seasonings. Some crappie and white bass nuggets tossed in southern blend breading, Everglades original and heat fried at 350 for four minutes. I damn sure miss my snapper nuggets but this will work too!
