Finally got around to pulling my backyard camera card awhile back and had these visitors back by my targets back in late February.
I look for those little bastards every time I cut the grass. Any mound gets nukes that day. Haven’t been hit by one yet, hopefully it’ll stay that way.FYI fire ants SUCK!!! I was helping my son clear some bushes and I got into a fire ant hill. I was stupidly wearing crocs and got about 20 bites on one foot.
Man I have been bit or stung or whatever it is called this one is the worst I have ever had.
You have a water source (lake/pond) close by?More of a Monday kind of problem.
Get a tarp or something similar, hold it in front of you so he can’t make you out. Drop it over the trap, grab the handle. Walk it too where there’s a water source or put it in the truck bed and carefully drive it too the water source. Drop and wait for the bubbles too quit. Then wait 5 minutes moreNot close enough.

Or just borrow a good buddies truck!Tarp or not, that thing wasn't going in the back of my Jeep.
It's been handled.
