Different type of velvet but a buddy here in pa had this on his plot
Thought he'd finish out a little better than he did, but he'll do just fine for one of the girls if he sticks around.

Second year after EHD. We had an EHD year, last season, and now this season. Herd is still rebuilding. Lots more bucks than does. One pretty decent buck, and many like these guys.
Still wont be hunting the Tank Plant for a few more years b/c of it. Or Husky. Thinking we will be back at Kendricks woods. Not sure yet.

He’s a good one, Denny! Looks like the spikes on the trough are doing a good job keeping the squirrels out

Yeah, squirrels are the daytime gatekeepers of the troughs and some truly try to keep some of the deer out of them. In fact, I have a recent video capture of one violently going after a doe. She won that funny battle, just like 'SHYBUC' won this one. It usually doesn't matter what's at the trough first. He 'LOVES' that feed trough and quite the frequent visitor, approx. two minimum visits/day.

From my buddy that works next to our duck hole. I've always suspected we could kill deer there even though it's not a big piece of ground. Guess my suspicions were correct
