County Fair weekend has been a bit of a wash. Got nasty here on Saturday night and my truck has a new character mark in the hood to remind us of it. But the food plotter in me is happy right now. Just what we needed to green things up!
More than I expected over the last 3 days

Looks like a few feet to the side it could been a whole lot worse. Good to hear only the hood got it, but even then I'm sorry to see that.
We just got back from Norris Lake and we got 3” of rain while we were gone. Musta got pretty windy as several of my tomato plants got sideways.
There wasn't a bunch of wind. I would put money on it that it was just because of the weight they put on because of the rain.

The last few days have really been the only measurable rain since I planted back on August 13. Plots have been brown all that time so I feel like they sprouted and then died in the heat. There is some green showing up yesterday and today on the cell cams but don't believe it's much if any of the brassicas and other seed we planted. Somehow all those rains between now and back then split the clouds around our farm and barely got a drop. Will be looking at a Plan B in the next couple weeks if we can get down soon.
Hope the driveway washes out big time this weekend…. It’s a karma thing…

Yup, I have a few to take care of yet myself.
Driveway has held up really well over the decades, but this year, a few sink holes need my attention. Just need to run down to the creek bottom and grab me some that riverbed stone, shovel it in the back of the pickup, and then fill them in. That'll get the driveway sink holes all taken care of for another year. Oh-yeah,, it's always the same spots every year too.
