For what it's worth wnf Athens got annihilated by ehd this year and noone was seeing anything when I was there last weekend.

If we all wanted to get together for a hike, I doubt that would be as appealing as a hike with guns trying to kill deer. Just saying. I also want to be respectful of the areas that got hit so that if we do happen to kill one/some, we didn't exacerbate that population decline.
Maybe we should do a squirrel drive. 
In all seriousness, a non-plague area would be better.
I'm just ready to get it on, having missed gun season for stupid reasons.

I also wouldn't feel bad for shooting a public land deer if it was the last one. That is an ODNR issue and if I don't, the Amish right behind us would. So I'm only cutting myself short by not shooting.

I’m all for salt fork. Several years we’ve killed does at salt fork in muzzleloader and the 2 day gun weekend. Lots of area and good deer density.

Yeah, it's almost like we said fuck those guys in the middle of the state...
Zero chance you guys could start something on your own. No one came to me and suggested we gathered at my place. I decided one day to take initiative and do what I wanted. Invited people and it slowly grew bigger. Same with the Paint creek thing. Started by 3 of us wanting to go fishing.

Kinda like an out of state hog hunting trip…? not that hard to motivate a bunch of rednecks. Add a base camp, cold beer and hunting. Plain and simple.
Exactly. If you want to do a hunt at Salt Fork, do it. People will likely show up and fun will be had. No reason it can't happen all over the state.

Chance, let’s get a salt fork hunt going. I would love to get some of the guys struggling with EHD on deer. I’m fine with being a dog and I know of some decent areas to put on drives if you guys would be up for it.
Looks like you boys don't need my help, so @Shoot-straight and @Chancegriffis, you boys can be the party planners. Just tell us where to be at what time on the 7th. I'll add Salt Fork to thread title and we'll look forward to piles of dead deerz.
