These hunts have nothing to do with the deer.
Well, I mean, they kinda do 🤷‍♂️ If we all wanted to get together for a hike, I doubt that would be as appealing as a hike with guns trying to kill deer. Just saying. I also want to be respectful of the areas that got hit so that if we do happen to kill one/some, we didn't exacerbate that population decline.

I'm just saying I don't go because I need deer meat.

I also wouldn't feel bad for shooting a public land deer if it was the last one. That is an ODNR issue and if I don't, the Amish right behind us would. So I'm only cutting myself short by not shooting.

Zero chance you guys could start something on your own. No one came to me and suggested we gathered at my place. I decided one day to take initiative and do what I wanted. Invited people and it slowly grew bigger. Same with the Paint creek thing. Started by 3 of us wanting to go fishing.
Kinda like an out of state hog hunting trip…? not that hard to motivate a bunch of rednecks. Add a base camp, cold beer and hunting. Plain and simple.
