J..... I called Illinois DNR.. CANNOT HAVE A FUNCTIONAL CLIP ON YOUR PERSON... Pain in the ass to load a bolt without clip in turning gun sideways or upside down, plus leaving clip out, all kinds of dirt getting up there... Clip is plastic, so can't spot weld it... So I figured pouring in liquid resin would suffice.... Open to suggestions...

great stuff foam. Easier to remove and make the mag functional again.

On the Mossberg 450 I bought I ordered extra clips for it so I can make one inoperable so I can use it in Illinois.... I think I'll pour fiberglass resin in one so spring will not depress...

Leave it too Illinois too come up with some asinine rule like that….

Maybe I missed it, buy I'm not sure what style of mag you have. No way to take it apart and put a something to stop the follower? I would imagine you would have feed issues if you prevent the spring from springing.

Maybe get a rifle scabbard for Malack?

I can't stop picturing this now and it's making me smile. I think you'd have to have a handle style harness. (Blind dog) Not sure that rifle would be short enough to work otherwise.

It's a normal MAGAZINE.... I figured by pouring a liquid resin in while the spring is up all the way it would harden and therefore unable to depress... I really haven't played with it at all as of yet...

AR style? Just pull the tabs and stick something in it. I suggest something that fits inside the spring so it isn't slamming bullets in to the gun.

Thanks... Like I said haven't played with it... In fact I picked the gun up, looked it over and it went into the vault... Haven't touched it since...

you've been beat up enough on the mag vs clip unless you're carrying a garand or sks so i won't mention it

I love mine, ammo is not prevalent in my area unless it's more expensive than i prefer to shoot so i haven't carried mine in 2 seasons.

Marlin, you can pick up some here there down here and I'm looking to reload as well. Trying to get some mentoring in thay department from folks down here.
