A few other good bourbon cocktails are the Manhattan and Peach Smash if you want to try something else.View attachment 169623
Over my Christmas break I discovered “old fashions”, I enjoy this drink coupled with a cigar.

I’m surprised that Rare Breed didn’t make the cut. Explains why it’s in back row as well! LmaoStill dipping my toes into the pool but so far I really like the Yellowstone, I W Harper and Four Roses. Don’t know if you’ve ever had Fenwick but that’s not bad also.
Sounds like you enjoy the sweeter flavors.Still dipping my toes into the pool but so far I really like the Yellowstone, I W Harper and Four Roses. Don’t know if you’ve ever had Fenwick but that’s not bad also.
Those are spicier imo than those Sgt listed. Still good but all depends what flavors you enjoy. Have you tried wilderness trail (trace?) rye bourbon? or Minor Case rye? sweet but with some spiceI’m surprised that Rare Breed didn’t make the cut. Explains why it’s in back row as well! Lmao
It’s in my top 3-4 for sure so far, sip it nice and savor the flavor. EHT Small Batch, Russell’s Single Barrel and Elijah Craig toasted round out the other 3 for me.
I enjoy an old fashioned, i like using my honey instead of simple syrup. Splurging for the luxardo cherries is nice. I also use candied orange peels i found at Walmart.View attachment 169623

Yes, love Wilderness Trail, got another bottle of the 6yr I need to crack sometime. I like both wheated and rye equally as I like the ones you mentioned to SGT. up above.Sounds like you enjoy the sweeter flavors.
Blantons, Ancient Ancient age 10 year, eagle rare, Woodford double Oaked, old forester 1920 (if the higher proof doesn't bother you or add ice or water) are a few you may want to try

My wife saves the corks from different wineries. Wish I’d seen this before Xmas. I guess she’ll have to wait until our anniversary in July.I ordered and received a cork collection bin yesterday and have one of two infinity decanters on the way. I will order one with the American Flag on it very soon. My plan is to put my wheated pours in the Shotgun Shell bottle and my rye pours in the flag decanter.
Here’s the cork bin(wish it said bourbon instead of wine but at least it’s in barrel form. I saw no bourbon cork bins on Amazon.

This is the American Flag one I’ll probably order. I’m torn between another one. Lol
