J he was very tempting but I passed him up last month, my buddy and I both agreed to give him another year and just hope he survives..he could be really nice or just stay the same. Glad he made it through the gun seasons and didn't get killed on the neighboring farms.
One thing I do know, if I were ever given a choice of planting food plots or crp it would be crp everytime. We don't do plots as their are plenty of crop fields around us. But their is just something special hunting over CRP fields. Big bucks love them and they move around in them all the time..you hunt the edges in between fields just a great place to get a chance at them. I call that stand site "The Money Tree" I have opportunities at 13 different bucks since December.
We backed out of the other farm since EHD hit it. Won't shoot any does there for several years..this farm has plenty of does may try for one in the morning.
